Introduction
In accordance with national and international standards and regulations, Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company is responsible for ensuring the safe and secure operation of air navigation and air traffic management services for both domestic and international flights. As a key player in the aviation industry infrastructure of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the company, established in 1991, oversees the leadership, management, maintenance, and development of 54 passenger airports.
These airports, which include 21 domestic, 25 air border, and 8 internationals, cover approximately 16 million square meters of terminal space, runways, flight surfaces, and various airport buildings. Additionally, the company manages around 9 million square meters of passages, green spaces, parking areas, and other passenger services. Iran Airports and Air Navigation Company operates under the Ministry of Road and Urban Development and plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of Iran's aviation infrastructure.
